Her lawyer asked the judge to examine the jurors cell phone metadata because he was accused of using it during deliberations.
and he also wants to be asked about his truthfulness on a questionnaire that he had to fill out during jury the reddington insisted that this quote inquiry will not touch the substance of deliberations.
and this is actually kind of an unusual especially because the filing is not seeking an outcome.
You've got places like The New York Times noting that it's not clear if there are any grounds to reverse the jury's Though also another one that Clancy's lawyers separately asked the judge to dismiss the reclaiming that this mistrial could have been avoided if the judge had replaced this juror with an alternate during deliberations.
right.
All of this as there's been just so much backlash, conversation, praise and everything in between for this one Because if you somehow missed it, Lindsey
Clancy was charged with killing her three young kids before attempting to kill herself, but she pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, claiming that she was dealing with severe postpartum psychosis
and that voices in her head told her to do and so the trial was really about her mental health and mental state at the time of the and even if she was found not guilty, it looked like she would be sent to a mental hospital and not allowed to just walk
But that case, of course, ended in a mistrial earlier this month when 11 people on the jury voted that she could not be found guilty. But one juror wanted to convict. with all that said, as far as Reddington wanting this juror investigated.

Juror who's now been identified as Michael DesRon you've seen some pushback, some backlash.
You're Michael's lawyer saying that this quote, Looney Tunes motion is, not just an attack on Michael for being the courageous, lone holdout saying Reddington.
Motion is actually a full frontal attack on the US Constitution and adding.
Because if the new normal is that jurors are going to face brutal reprisals for disagreeing with the defense attorney, you can kiss the Sixth Amendment, which ensures the right to a fair trial.

you would allow professor also telling The New York Times that the motion leaves a bad taste in your mouth, because a request like this usually only happens after a conviction when the defense believes fraud, bribery or discrimination occurred among jurors.
in saying a motion like Reddington could tell other jurors the privacy, doesn't matter if you come up with the wrong views in a case, views that the rest of the jury did not support.
but then also at the same time, you have a lot of people saying, hey, it's not like there was just one thing with this we people pointing to moments like the jury four person previously saying that he refused to acquit even though he had doubts?
he had reasonable doubt. He admitted he had reasonable doubt after we watched that video of the interview. I think that's what it was.
He admitted he had reasonable doubt, and I started filling out the forms. I was so excited.
and then he said, but I'm still not going to say that she's not guilty by reason of insanity.
Also other jurors, you're saying that it was hard to work with, that he would not engage in discussions with them and instead just scrolled on his But then he would also apparently still say things like,
you know, I don't know if the prosecution or the defense prove their and after the trial, the juror also apparently told people he believed Clancy was guilty from day and then as we were learning about all this.
there's also been a ton of reporting on his past.
and that includes the fact that he had been previously accused of domestic violence, and he had a pending eviction case and a restraining order against and because Massachusetts jury questionnaire
asks about prior arrests and charges, some think that it's at least strange that the legal teams decided to see them in the right.
So this is likely why Clancy's lawyer wants the questionnaire to be investigated to verify that he actually disclosed his arrests.
now, for his part, a few days ago you had just Rondo releasing a statement through his lawyer, claiming didn't have any doubts I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation,
I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence saying, based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented.
I thought it was enough proof that she, Clancy, knew exactly what she was doing and with this, there are also plenty of people that are on his Right.

and then you also have some that are just concerned about the fact that the juror has been publicly as we've talked about, there's a ton of reporting on him, his decision and his life in there you've got people like an NBC news legal analyst saying,
I think it could absolutely have a chilling effect on jurors potentially but as far as what happens next.
The next hearing is set for September and that will likely answer questions of whether or not there's going to be a retrial regarding Lindsey

and then diving right back into the news, we've got to talk about this bombshell ProPublica report. because it's about this huge corruption scandal that we I was about to uncover.
But then Trump killed it. ends. It actually all starts with Senator Susan Collins of Maine and the bakery.
records in 2019 you would Collins really behind in fundraising and worrying about losing her seat.
and so reportedly you had Scott Reid ahead of Collins and super PAC coming up with this sketchy ass plan to get the campaign back on track. Strike a deal with a Hawaiian defense contractor. Navy tech.
Because you see a year prior, Collins had helped out the company with a multimillion dollar Navy research contract. reportedly they wanted more government contracts in Maine. And so Reid realized that he had leverage there.
so we met up at a corner bakery with the CEO of the company, Martin Kao, who reportedly casually adds that Collins guaranteed tens of millions of dollars in addition to federal funding.
and read is said to have agreed to those terms.
and with all this, you know, I've got to note that government contractors, they are not allowed to make political contributions. and they certainly can't offer donations in exchange for things.
right. That's that little thing we call bribery.
so apparently to hide all their sketchy shit never said came up with a plan to transfer the donation through a shell company. And in fact, right after that meeting, Cao sent an initial payment of $150,000.
and according to the report two months later, had him telling company executives that Collins had committed $32 million in naval contracts so obviously very suspicious.
and the substance. It doesn't end with Collins.
because it turns out that Cowan, his pals, actually donated about $900,000 to a bunch of politicians.
it appears that way, have attack was able to establish operations in several states with over $40 million a year in government funding.
And then what was really crazy with all this is that ProPublica found that never tax work for the government was, quote, of no real value. right. And then, wouldn't you know it, with all this, the FBI come sniffing around.
they saw right through the shell company ruse. got arrested for fraud in 2020. And a grand jury indicted him for illegal campaign contributions in 2022.
so with looking at years and years in prison he flips Right. He's hoping for a chance to shorten his sentence. And he reportedly laid out in excruciating detail for the FBI how all this worked.
We're talking a 50 page document handed to agents naming dozens of lobbyists, congressional staffers and members of Congress who he said helped him trade cash for contracts.
also told agents of the politicians, including Collins, were willing participants, saying it takes two to tango.
also gave him a roadmap detailing all the Congress members and a dealt with email addresses and phone numbers of people Cao said were involved and should be subpoenaed. and his interviews.
They opened up a whole new phase of investigation.
Because, yeah, this appeared to be a felon that was trying to worm his way out of serving as much time as possible.
but also agents were actually reportedly able to corroborate much of his story by scanning through hundreds of thousands of records seized during his arrest. and while it was in the very early stages. Everything he provided.
Everything that the agents had discovered. reportedly gave the FBI enough to open a sweeping bribery probe. a probe that would have wrapped up major figures in both parties.
that probe. It never happened.
that's because shortly after close interviews wrapped up, Trump became president again.
as you might remember, he purged the DOJ and stacked it with his own personal lawyers. Anyone who ever investigated it, they were gone. Agents and prosecutors, they were quittin.
and the specialized teams handling public corruption investigations, they were axed. were reportedly decimated. Agent by agent at the hands of Trump's chosen FBI director, Kash Patel.
one of the agents who actually took Cao's confession was pushed out in retaliation for her work investigating Trump himself and now, like in today's version of the DOJ, Trump's DOJ.
there's no meaningful work being done against public corruption. And so everything with the Cao seems to be dead. Right. Which is actually where it should be. According to a number of people who were seemingly involved.
with that including Collins is off as a vigorously denying the allegations.
calling cows claims outlandish or deputy chief of staff saying Collins is office fully cooperating with the FBI's investigations and added
fact that the FBI and Biden led Department of Justice thoroughly examined the matter demonstrates this, saying these issues were resolved in 2021 and concluded when the Collins
campaign disgorge the illegal contributions that Martin Cow had made without our knowledge.
for now, the reality is, is that all of this is going to play out in the court of public opinion. right. We are now less than two months away from the midterm elections. Collins.
She's in a very tight race against Troy Jackson. and while seemingly the DOJ is not interested here, the voters may be.
especially because it appears for a number of people, they're now reviewing Collins's actions through a new lens. right.
Looking at the timing, looking at the allegations going, oh, is this why she voted for Pam Bondi?
this why she made this or that decision Right along with other decisions that are more directly connected to the allegations. very soon we'll see where people land on this and a lot more.

And then actually, let's jump from a dropped investigation into an ongoing one because we should talk about this particular situation.

now you've got him in the news because he's been charged with rape in Massachusetts.
specifically, he's facing a count of drugging someone for sexual intercourse in one count of procuring liquor for someone under the age of 21. Right.
Now, according to the court records that are now coming to light, the charges were initially filed back in September 8th, and the alleged offenses happened in May of 2025.
so you've got this arraignment that's scheduled for October 14th, with Cliff reportedly facing up to life in prison. we thank you.
But a spokesperson for quickly responding to the report saying Braden Peters is not been physically served as usual at the bulwark is exaggerating. Which is where we saw this report initially blowing up.
Anyway, the spokesperson saying that these new criminal charges stem from a civil suit that he refused to settle. right.
To be clear, the latest court documents, they do not reveal the name of the alleged victim.
but you've heard people talking about how this new information lines up with a report from last April, Right where?
18 year old Alora Ziba, whose real name is Alexandra Vasilyevna Mendoza, brought a civil suit against Aquila, accusing him of battery fraud and sexual misconduct.
accusing him of injecting her with Aqua Lakes without her permission during a live stream, which is a fat dissolving substance which is not FDA approved.
she also accused him of non-consensual sexual encounters at his parents home in Cape Cod, saying that she was a minor and intoxicated at the time.
according to the lawsuit, Levick paid her $1,000 and claimed that he wanted to make her the female face of looks maxing. but they ended up having a very turbulent relationship.
Nicole Tequila has denied the allegations. and in July, you're in filing a motion to dismiss certain counts of that lawsuit. and that including the one about sexual misconduct.

and then as far as reactions that we've seen coming from this report and these updates, got a number of people out there saying that these allegations aren't actually surprising coming from a man, a beer influencer like him.
some joking. It's always the people who you expected from others saying fork found in kitchen. Saying he's never been shy about the disgusting hate he has for women. Saying men with his mentality are all a danger to society.

And it wasn't long before that made national then what you saw is that after his body was found on, the six things took off even with people asking if whatever happened to him could have been racially motivated,

but now with where we are, you've been saying we must focus on holding the companies accountable to keep productions on LA stages and ensure paychecks for hardworking Angelenos.
that's also where a lot of things get messy Because it seems like this decision was ultimately made to try to keep jobs in Hollywood.
and yes, Paramount or rather, the Ellison's with them threatening to leave California if they had left out a bit horrible for the state.
here, but even with them saying you have a lot of people asking and a lot of reports coming out saying, well, how many jobs are actually going to be saved? are going to see cuts, how soon?
