Candace Owens' Assassination Plot Scandal is Crazy & MTG's Resignation is Bigger Than It Seems

Candace Owens is claiming that the French president is going to kill her, and now, that’s sparked concern, disbelief, and many on the right saying she’s using Charlie Kirk’s death to become the ultimate grifter.
Right, this whole thing kicked off with this massive post from Candace on Saturday where she said two days prior, she had spoken to a high-ranking official in the French government close to the president Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte.
And this official told her the Macrons have, quote, “executed upon and paid for my assassination.”
Saying specifically that the “green light” was given to a small team - which she says includes at least one Israeli assassin. []
But she didn’t stop there - no, Candace also said that this official told her, quote,
“... Charlie Kirk’s assassin trained with the French legion 13th brigade with multi-state involvement.”
Before closing out her initial statement by saying she isn’t sure who to trust in the US government because this official claims leaders here knew of this plan to kill her.
But she promised to share, quote, “definitively verifiable” information to any US official that reaches out to her.
And amid all this, she does say that she has looked into her source and that they have, quote, “provided concrete proof that they are well placed within the French government apparatus.”
Now, there’s a lot to unpack in just this first tweet but that is not where her story ends.
Candace continued tweeting about this entire thing in the days since that first post - with her next bombshell being that the payments in question were made through the Club des Cent (Club day Saunt) []
Which is a famous gastronomic society founded in 1912 - essentially a fancy dining club with 100 members who get together once a week for meals at the top restaurants in Paris.
Well, it’s either that or a cycling club for those who have conquered one hundred mountain passes - both clubs share the same name.
Anyway, Candace again highlighted the supposed Israel connection - saying that both a French female assassin as well as a male Israeli one were chosen to kill her.
Calling this alleged plan for her murder, quote, “joint state operations.”
From there, she went on to talk more about the Charlie Kirk part of this whole thing - sharing a Google search result showing that members of the French military were training with Marines in California for 3 weeks in August.
Saying, “French foreign legionnaires were involved in Charlie Kirk’s assassination. They were not the only ones, but they were involved.” []
Then yesterday, she posted that she contacted the US federal government about this alleged plot against her and added that she is, quote, “willing to provide full details, as well as the name of the assassins and international accounts in France and Canada through which money was exchanged.” []
And she even put a number to that - saying this morning that Macron allegedly moved more than a million dollars for her assassination. []
Now, assuming this whole thing is even true, why the hell would Macron be trying to assassinate this random right-wing political commentator and why would he involve Israel?
Well, Candace Owens has spent the last several months posting “investigation” after "investigation" that Brigitte Macron is secretly transgender.
Plus Candace has been very vocal in her criticism of Israel - though many have accused her of just being a using that as a blanket for antisemitism.
And this alleged assasination plot has sparked a bunch of reactions online - everything from genuine concern for Candace’s safety to accusations of her again using Charlie Kirk’s name for clout and money.
Right, you’ve got people taking Candace entirely at her word here - calling this, “the BIGGEST story in the world right now” and expressing serious concern for her safety.
You even saw people like comedian Dave Smith saying,
“... they should know that taking out Candace Owens will turn all of us into Candace Owens.” []
Then there are those that say this is an obvious sign that Candace Owens needs help mentally.
That something is clearly off to have her fully believing and widely sharing what seems to be such a far-fetched idea.
With people saying things like,
“The most popular media production in the country is a woman talking herself into psychosis to thunderous applause.” []
And,
“Nobody in this woman’s life loves her enough to tell her to stop. I honestly feel kinda bad for her.” []
While many other people have immediately dismissed this as an obvious grift - and that’s coming from across the political spectrum.
Including some big names on the right including Representative Dan Crenshaw from Texas - who came after Candace and Dave Smith by saying,
“We all know Candace has lost it, but don’t forget about her co-conspirators. They’re all in on the grift, begging for your engagement on social media.” []
Even Trump’s loyal foot soldier Laura Loomer called Candace out - asking her to share the evidence she claims to have.
And some have said she’s doing this specifically to further capitalize on the attention and cash that come with her connection to Charlie Kirk.
With people saying things like,
“Countries Candace Owens has accused of killing Charlie Kirk:
-Israel
-Egypt
-US
-France
I wonder who’s next!” []
“It’s beyond tacky that Candace Owens is now attempting to connect the very real and tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk to her crackpot Brigitte Macron series. As you can see from where she left off, it was pure gibberish - exactly where Candace is quickly returning, which will leave plenty embarrassed they ever took her seriously.”
And,
“Candace Owens deciding who next to blame for the Charlie Kirk assassination (she's throwing darts at a pre 1990 map of the world including the Soviet Union)” []
So we’re just going to have to see how this unfolds from here.
If it’ll be Candace continuing to yell into the void or if there'll be some actual action taken here.
In the meantime, I would love to know your thoughts about this in those comments down below.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is leaving Congress, and it may just be the latest blow to the MAGA movement.
Right, Greene, who represents Georgia, came into office as one of Trump’s most diehard supporters.
But over the past few months, she has increasingly defied Trump by opposing US involvement in foreign conflicts;
and even supporting the extension of the health insurance subsidies at the center of the government shutdown.
This all led to Trump labelling her a traitor, withdrawing his support, and threatening to run a primary opponent in her district.
With Greene saying she then faced a wave of death threats aimed at her and her family from apparent supporters of the president.
You even had her appearing on CNN and accepting that she hadn’t spoken out against Trump’s rhetoric in the past as “fair criticism” – and then apologizing:
I would like to say humbly that I am sorry for taking part in the toxic politics, it’s very bad for our country. (9:59-10:09)
But with all that, her resignation has come as a shock.
She explained her decision in a ten-minute video and four-page statement posted online.
And one associate reportedly said that she didn’t even let her inner circle know until about 20 minutes before that video went up.
And beyond that, as far as what she had to say, she took aim at the country’s political system as a whole but also had choice words for Trump and Republicans specifically:
“I have fought harder than almost any other elected Republican to elect Donald Trump and Republicans to power…Meanwhile most of the Establishment Republicans, who secretly hate him and who stabbed him in the back and never defended him against anything, have all been welcomed in after the election.”
“I have too much self respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms. And in turn, be expected to defend the President against impeachment after he hatefully dumped tens of millions of dollars against me and tried to destroy me. It's all so absurd and completely unserious. I refuse to be a ‘battered wife’ hoping it all goes away and gets better.” (BYTE: 5:17-5:51, 8:43-9:21)
And with that, besides Trump, Greene had specific criticism for House Speaker Mike Johnson and other Republicans for, quote:
“...refusing to proactively work diligently to pass a plan to save American healthcare and protect Americans from outrageous overpriced and unaffordable health insurance policies.” []
But with that, many on the left? They’ve been unimpressed.
And something to keep in mind is that while Gerene touched on bipartisan issues related to affordability, she also clearly established her credentials as a far-right politician.
Accusing Johnson of failing to bring legislation she introduced to the House floor that she said reflected Trump’s executive orders– including bills to exclude noncitizens from the Census, criminalize gender-affirming care, and eliminate H1-B visas. []
And with that, you’ve had the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slamming Greene, claiming “She’s carefully timing her departure just 1-2 days after her pension kicks in” – and arguing:
“....her ACTIONS have not backed up the rhetoric. For all her talk, she’s STILL voting with them to gut healthcare … ” []
And then, you also had Jasmine Crockett, who has fought with Greene in the past, blasting her on CNN:
“You’re on the other side of the president for one week, and you can’t take the heat? Imagine what it is to sit in my shoes, to not only be on the opposite side of him, but to have people like her who are constantly fanning the flames of hate and imagine what those threats look like when you literally are someone like me.” (0:51-1:10).
On the flip side, you had some Republicans coming out in support of Greene.
With Congresswoman, Victoria Spartz of Indiana claiming:
“Unfortunately, there’s a lot of truth to what Marjorie had to say.”
“I can’t blame her for leaving this institution that has betrayed the American people.”
And then, Thomas Massie, who has regularly disagreed with Trump, saying:
“There’s more honesty expressed in these four pages than most politicians will speak in a lifetime.”
And as far as Trump himself? He celebrated Greene’s resignation – again labeling her a traitor, and claiming she resigned “because of PLUMMETING Poll Numbers”
Arguing that she didn’t want to face a primary challenger “with a strong Trump Endorsement “ where she would have no chance of winning.
But also adding: “Nevertheless, I will always appreciate Marjorie, and thank her for her service to our Country!”
And with that, he also later told NBC News he would like to see Greene resume her political career.
And on that note, Time Magazine reported that “allies” of Greene said she had considered running for president in 2028.
But she quickly denied that in a post on social media, calling it “a complete lie” and adding:
“I’m not running for President and never said I wanted to and have only laughed about it when anyone would mention it.”
And so far as what is next for her, that remains to be seen, but she said she’ll officially be out of office on January 5th.
And besides this being part of the growing divisions we see in among Republicans, this will leave them with an empty seat in the House at least until March, when a special election in Georgia to replace her is expected to be held.
And notably, there, a special election is also being held in Tennessee just over one week from now to replace Mark Green, a Republican who resigned in July.
And while another Republican is expected to take his place, there is talk of a possible upset, so we’ll have to see what happens there, and with this whole situation in general.

A federal judge just dismissed the charges against former FBI director James Comey and New York Attorney General Tish James — a massive blow to Trump’s efforts to prosecute his perceived political enemies.
Specifically, U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie ruled that Lindsey Halligan — the prosecutor overseeing both cases — had been appointed illegally and, as a result, the indictments she secured need to be tossed.
Right, and Halligan, of course, is a close ally and personal lawyer of Trump who had zero experience as a prosecutor.
But he still appointed her as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, forcing out her predecessor because he declined to prosecute Comey after concluding that there was not enough evidence to do so.
Now, as we’ve talked about before, there have been a number of issues with both the cases in question here — though Comey’s, in particular, has been absolutely riddled with mistakes Halligan has made.
So much so that there was talk last week about his case being thrown out entirely.
But Judge Currie’s ruling today doesn’t focus on any of that — it’s just about whether Halligan can even legally serve in the job.
Right, in a normal world, the Senate usually needs to confirm a president’s U.S. attorney picks.
And if there are any vacancies, Attorney General Pam Bondi has the power to temporarily make an interim appointment who can serve for 120 days.
But say the Senate still hasn’t confirmed the president’s nominee for U.S. attorney by the end of those 120 days — well, under the law, the federal judges in that district would then get to pick a temporary replacement.
Now, the DOJ has claimed in court that when the deadline expires, Bondi has the power to reset the clockv, allowing her to repeatedly appoint an interim U.S. attorney for successive 120-day stints — which is exactly what she’s done with Halligan.
But lawyers for Comey and James hit back at those claims, arguing that it effectively creates a loophole in the nomination process because presidential administrations could just keep appointing interim attorneys forever without consent from Congress.
And in her ruling, Currie agreed.
But, VERY notably, the judge did deny a request to block the DOJ from trying to indict Comey and James again under a lawfully appointed prosecutor.
Though she did note that it may be too late to do so for Comey’s case because of the statute of limitations.
And that’s massive because it could mean the end of Trump’s attempts to prosecute Comey.
But, of course, we’ll have to wait and see how all this plays out — there’s so much legal back-and-forth, and you really can’t predict anything with Trump.

Intentionally or not, Elon Musk just exposed the house of cards that was right-wing Twitter
And now, some are gloating about it, others are furious, many are defensive.
Right, because here’s what happened: over the weekend, X rolled out a new feature called “about this account.” [Image]
So basically you can click on anyone’s profile, and now it tells you stuff like when they created the account, how many times they’ve changed their username, and most notably where the account is based. [Show screen recording of doing this]
With X’s head of product, Nikita Bier [beer], saying in the announcement: [Image]
“This is an important first step to securing the integrity of the global town square. We plan to provide many more ways for users to verify the authenticity of the content they see on X.” [Post and same image]
But as the curtain pulled back, what immediately became apparent was that a huge chunk of the online MAGA sphere — accounts labelling themselves as “America first” and “American patriots” — are in fact anything but American.
For example, “MAGA NATION,” an account with nearly 400,000 followers and a bio line that reads “Patriot Voice for We The People,” says it’s from Eastern Europe. [Image]
An Ivanka Trump fan account called “IvankaNews,” which has a million followers, is apparently from Nigeria. [Image]
And “ColdWarPatriot,” which tells its more than 140,000 followers that it’s a “USAF Vetera,” appears to actually be from Chile. [Image]
With countless other similar accounts that have racked up huge followings revealed to come from Russia, India, Thailand, Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia, Morocco, and on and on. [Images]
Name any place on Earth, and there’s probably an America-first Trump-loving MAGA patriot Constitutionalist there.
Now to be clear, just because someone’s location is outside the United States, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not American or that they actually live there.
Right, as some have pointed out, VPN’s exist, and X apparently updated the feature so that if it detects one, the account’s location will come with a warning. [Quote, find “detected”]
Also, some location data is simply incorrect for technical reasons.
With Nikita Bier saying that “there are a few rough edges that will be resolved by Tuesday.” [Post and Image]
And you should be careful about believing what you see anyway, because, you know, misinformation.
Right, the biggest example of this was when people started posting photos purporting to show that the official account for the Department of Homeland Security was created in Israel. [Post]
But you had Bier quickly shutting that down, writing:
“This is fake news. Location was not available on any gray check account at any point. Furthermore, the DHS has only shown IPs from the United States since account creation.” [Image and Post]
With DHS itself posting: “I can’t believe we have to say this, but this account has only ever been run and operated from the United States. Screenshots are easy to forge, videos are easy to manipulate.” [Post]
But At least some if not most of the revelations seem to likely be true, since you’ve seen certain accounts disappearing or deleting all their posts after they got exposed.
And if you go on left-wing Twitter, people spent the weekend popping bottles, claiming vindication, writing things like:
[Clip] Caption: “Just think about the foreign influence operations that are happening right now on this app. Think about the lawmakers who feel pressured by accounts like this. Think about the disinformation that spreads as a result of all these accounts out there.”
With some going the “it’s all a Russian psy-op” route, and others saying it might just be people in poor countries trying to make some money.
Right, because X pays verified premium users in American dollars based on the level of engagement they drive with their content.
And if you’re some random guy in Bangladesh [Bongla-desh], a few bucks is worth much more than it is for an actual American.
Though that’s not to say there aren’t well-organized, well-funded foreign influence operations; right, X is full of these bots.
Hell, even accounts run from the United States have allegedly received funding from Moscow, whether they knew it or not.
A la Tim Pool, Dave Rubin and Benny Johnson.
Now as for the right’s reaction to all of this, it’s been varied.
Right, on one end, you have some like Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna trying to spin it as a vindication for MAGA, writing:
“All of these pretend “pro-America” accounts that were pushing infighting within Maga are literally foreign grifters. I’m telling you, the foreign opp is real and so are the bot accounts.” [Post]
And then on the other end, you have Matt Walsh apparently under the impression that these accounts are actually real people with genuine opinions about U.S. politics, something he strongly opposes.
With him writing: “If you’re foreigner, I’m sure you have a lot of great opinions about the stuff happening in your own country. Talk about that all you want. But the debates in and about America are for Americans. Mind your own business.” [Post]
But that sparked a debate, with the Malaysian-born right-wing influencer Ian Miles Cheong [Chong] shooting back:
“American politics impacts the world whether Americans like it or not. You’re not an isolationist country any more than China is. And Americans have had plenty to say about what goes on in Russia and Ukraine and every other country.” [Post]
To which Walsh responded: “You’ve never set foot in America and yet you spend every day trying to influence our culture and politics. You talk about our country exclusively and never say a word about your own. If you don't see why that might rub Americans the wrong way, I don't know what to tell you.” [Post]
With Cheong firing back: “Talking about another country is now influencing it according to Matt Walsh. Welcome to the United States, a democracy so fragile that merely talking about it will cause it to fall apart.” [Post]
And then finally, you have outlets like Fox News and The New York Post, as well as the Israeli foreign ministry, mostly ignoring the foreign MAGA accounts and highlighting ones that claim to be from Gaza. [Headline and headline and image]
Like the Quds News Network and Times of Gaza, both of which say they report from Palestine but list their locations as Egypt and East Asia and the Pacific, respectively. [Quote]
Even the Brits are reckoning with this as well after the BBC uncovered pro-Scottish independence accounts that appear to actually be run from Iran. [Image, image]
Now we’ve always known this kind of shit was going on, but again it raises a startling question:
How much of our reality is actually just a hyperreal Matrix-style postmodern simulation?
I mean, I’m not even sure anymore … [pinch skin] am I real?
